Hurricane Music Company is a music publishing company with a focus on the creation of original songs for commercial exploitation through popular artists and mediums. We obtain the ownership of the underlying intellectual property and work the assets to increase their commercial returns over the lifetime of their copyrights. HMC also has a state of the art recording and rehearsal studio and provides label services to our artists through licensing partnership agreements.
Writers
An acclaimed songwriter, Paul Hourican has universally praised in particular for his talent as a songwriter which are wide ranging and very diverse in nature. The Irish Times state; 'here's a guy who can pull off the delicate Damien Rice stuff alongside catchy pop fare grungy guitar blues', whilst The News of The World put is simply; 'Paul Hourican Writes Great Songs!!!!'. A prolific songwriter with a two Irish hit singles ‘One Step Forward’ and ‘All I Ever Wanted’ released on Hourican’s own Hurricane Records Label in partnership with Warner Music Ireland. Hourican’s large and original catalogue was signed to NYC’s major publishing company Round Hill Music with the copyrights reverting back to the full control of Hourican in 2014. HMC is actively looking for new opportunities to exploit the songs via other recording artists and sync opportunities. Paul Hourican is also a poet, and a writer with new works in the making.
